Tegral’s Pallet Armour: An Industry Innovation

A Solution for Safer, Damage-Free Transport

At Tegral, we’re committed to addressing our clients’ most pressing transport challenges. Recently, one of our clients approached us with a problem that many in the industry may find familiar: bulker bags were chafing and even bursting open on long-haul routes due to friction with adjacent loads and restraint products. As a response to this problem, we developed Pallet Armour as the ultimate solution to this issue, ensuring safe, efficient, and damage-free transport for even the most challenging loads.

Prevents Chafing and Protects Retail Packaging

The primary function of Pallet Armour is to protect loads from chafing caused by adjacent goods and load restraint tools, a particular concern on long-distance routes. Pallet Armour also acts as a barrier that prevents wear and tear on packaging, preserving the quality of retail goods throughout transit. The high-strength polypropylene that the armour is made from is tough enough to endure demanding routes yet flexible enough to adapt to various load shapes and sizes. Built with reinforced joints for added durability, Pallet Armour is designed to withstand rough handling while offering the flexibility needed for bulky loads. Its foldable design allows it to be configured to secure larger pallets, such as 2.4m pallets, using just two pieces.

Pallet Armour ensures that loads are protected and are delivered intact, in their original state. So much wastage happens in the transport industry due to crushing. This helps businesses increase their profits and not have the worry of wastage.

Strap Cut-Outs for Longevity

To extend the life of Pallet Armour, strap cut-outs are included. These allow load restraints to apply direct force on the load itself, not the protection layer, reducing wear on the Pallet Armour and enhancing its performance.

The Tegral Difference

Pallet Armour is another example of how Tegral innovates to meet industry demands, using customer feedback to develop real solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and product longevity.
