A former DHL facility in Pennington, Adelaide, has been sold in a significant off-market transaction valued at $25.5 million. The 21,000 sqm site was acquired by Merlino Development Group and will undergo an extensive refurbishment to transform it into a modern industrial and logistics estate. This development is expected to become a benchmark for industrial properties in the region.
The new site will feature high-clearance warehouse spaces ranging from 2100 sqm to 3200 sqm, equipped with gantry cranes and full drive-around access. Andrew Wilson of McGees Property, who negotiated the sale, noted strong interest from logistics, defence, and engineering companies eager to secure a central location with access to key transport routes, including the Port River Expressway and Northern Connector.
With demand for well-located industrial properties on the rise, the Pennington site is set to become a key player in Adelaide’s industrial landscape, offering prime access to the port, airport, and CBD.
